About The Gay Youth Corner
We are a free, safe and discreet social utility for young LGBTQ+ people worldwide aged 13 to 25 years old.

Established in 2004. The original & internationally recognised community for young LGBTQ+ people, aged 13 to 25 years old.

Driven towards a brighter world where LGBTQ+ young people are accepted and immersed into society, free to be themselves!

Founded in January 2004 by two teenagers, Hamish Priest and Jonathan McCarthy.

The Gay Youth Corner (The GYC) was the place to be to meet young people online from all corners of globe. The premise was to make friends, form new connections, participate in activities and discuss anything that was on their mind; Sex, sexuality, health, school, work, relationships and family life.

Including but not limited to: education, destigmatising and eradicating homophobia and discrimination. Ergo making LGBTQ+ as accepting as it is today. It was the international gay youth website with over five thousand users. Now, we cater to a whole new generation of people!

The GYC was eventually shut down in 2011, due to privacy and other concerns. But in 2020, the website was relaunched and revitalised, taking The GYC into a new era and direction, culminating in the vibrant and safe community is it today.
